Old Town Rhodes

Tristan, Brooke, John and Mary outside the walls

Last night all the young ones went partying. That resulted in a rather late start to the day. About noon we left for the old town of Rhodes to tour the medieval walled city, built by the Knights of St. John in the 14th century. These are the best preserved medieval walls in Europe. Today, it is filled with shops and restaurants, but also 6000 people live within the walls. We had the wedding couple with us, so of course, we had to capture pictures of them in the city. First stop was another roof top for lunch. But then we wandered the city. We managed to get lost trying to find the gates of the city away from the harbor, but not for long. In the evening, we had a family dinner along the seashore. A enjoyable leisure day.
